The Buffalo Roadhouse Grill has been created out of the passion we have to serve our family, friends and the local community with good food, good cheer and good times. We also have personal pride in knowing our founders are individuals who have been born and raised right here in Buffalo, New York.
In the fall of 2008 the Roadhouse Grill chain filed bankruptcy and closed abruptly. Employees arrived for work to find padlocks and signs on the doors. Shocked and bewildered they turned to the local general manager for guidance.
Though the local operations manager had not even been advised; and he to found himself out of work, efforts were put forth to get all local employees paid, but had no success.
Involved in the local restaurant industry for over 20 years this former manager had worked for several corporate chains that have all gone and ran on our local community. Having so much passion for the employees, Buffalo and the surrounding area Jeff Lyons made the decision to get together with friends and former co workers; who all have been born and raised here, and present them with an opportunity to invest in what is now known as The Buffalo Roadhouse Grill.
With the hopes of opening as quick as possible the process began shortly after the closing with the formation of Buffalo Roadhouse Grill, Inc.. Sadly Jeff did not realize this would have some investors lose their unemployment benefits, Jeff being one. Out of work and broke the group made the decision to carry on and make this a reality. Thanks in part to several individuals who donated their time for what became an eight month long journey to officially open. This is what makes those words special for so many of us…..Buffalo you're my home.
Growing up in our local community has given us the understanding of how good food will gather the community, but also good cheer. We want to provide you with a fun and friendly atmosphere to enjoy what is now known as The Buffalo Roadhouse Grill Sports Bar. Our staff has been serving cheer to many of us thoughout the years and look forward to serving all for many, many years to come!
One goal during our creation had been to provide as many former employees as possible a place to work. As of today we have created positions for 40 former co workers from all 4 former Roadhouse Grill locations and an additional 35 new local individuals.
Being locally owned we strive to provide quality, atmosphere and an experience to have you visit the Buffalo Roadhouse Grill again and again.
